Dacia has announced that its updated Jogger is now on sale, with only a tiny increase in pricing ensuring it remains the UK’s cheapest new seven-seat car.
The Jogger arrived in late 2021 as Dacia’s then-largest and most practical car, with a hybrid model joining the line-up in 2023. Its latest update sees the Jogger get a slightly revised look, additional standard equipment and a new hybrid powertrain already found in the Dacia Bigster.
It looks quite similar to before, doesn’t it?
Yes, Dacia hasn’t changed the Jogger’s look too much, though has refreshed it to keep it in line with the firm’s newer models, including the facelifted Sandero.
The Jogger’s front is the biggest difference, including a new front bumper and a new ‘pixel-inspired’ grille. The LED headlights at the front get a new T-shaped signature, while LED rear lights are a new addition.
Dependent on version, the Jogger also gets a shark-fin aerial, new alloy wheel designs and lower cladding made from a part-recycled material called Starkle, which first featured on the latest Dacia Duster.
Any changes inside?
A new 10-inch touchscreen features on all but the entry-level Expression trim level, while Dacia promises a more ‘durable’ interior thanks to its more resistant upholstery, new dashboard detailing and air vents that echo that T-shaped front light signature.
Seven seats remain standard – unlike in rivals such as the Vauxhall Frontera and Citroen C3 Aircross where the third row is optional – and additional safety kit has been fitted so the Jogger is compliant with the latest safety standards. This includes an updated autonomous emergency braking feature, as well as the addition of Renault and Dacia’s excellent ‘MySafety’ switch that enables a quick shortcut to turn off any safety assists you don’t want on.
Other new features for the Jogger, depending on spec, including a multi-view camera, electric folding mirrors and wireless smartphone charging. The days of a Dacia being bare-bones are well and truly over.
It gets a new hybrid powertrain
First used on Dacia’s flagship Bigster, it is slowly rolling out its new hybrid powertrain across its line-up, and next up to get it is the Jogger.
It’s now a 1.8-litre petrol engine (rather than a 1.6), still paired with twin electric motors, and power has increased from 138bhp to 153bhp. Dacia claims a 10 per cent improvement in fuel economy, with 61mpg now quoted.
The existing 108bhp turbocharged 1.0-litre TCe petrol engine also remains available, paired to a six-speed manual gearbox.
What does the 2026 Dacia Jogger cost?
Prices for the new Dacia Jogger have risen by only £25, with the entry-level Essential model costing just £18,995. Standard equipment includes LED front and rear lights, roof bars, air conditioning and Bluetooth.
The Expression trim costs from £20,295 – or £23,330 as a hybrid, making it one of the cheapest new hybrid cars – and adds automatic climate control, keyless entry, a reversing camera and 10-inch touchscreen.
Top-spec Extreme versions are available from £21,595 and bring 16-inch black alloy wheels, electric folding mirrors, heated front sears and a heated steering wheel.
Orders for the updated Dacia Jogger are now open, first first deliveries expected in early 2026.
